A previous background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, mining is a highly skilled toolmaker, machinist, fabricator before endeavouring into a world of Digital Marketing. As a result of my own engineering business suffering form the lack of the wright customer and project, I embarked and a journey to fit the right audience for our products and services. For various reasons we closed that engineering business but my love for marketing grew. 

I have now come back full circle to where I'm still passionate about design, manufacturing, innovations and engineering, that I passionately want to help startups, creatives and traditional business to demystify digital marketing and help them grow as authorities with their global niche markets. 

Loves to work on work biggest and best and most outrageous projects like Rosco McGlashen world land-speed record 1000mph rocket car, where I have helped with design , construction and promotion of the car and team. 

I have a BSc in applied physics from Melbourne University (1993), a BE in mech engineering from UWA (1997) and a PhD in aerospace/mechanical engineering from The University of Queensland (2012).

I was the Australian and Reentry System lead for the Mars Gravity Biosatellite project (2003-2013) which involved MIT and the University of Washington and worked to test the effect of martian level gravity on mice inside a small spinning Earth orbitting satellite.  I was a Computational Fluid Dynamics consultant with BMT-WBM in Brisbane for 5 or so years, working with clients to model industrial processes such as sewage flows, vibrating screen slurries and exploding coal dust by pioneering use of OpenFOAM.  My PhD involved experimental and computational simulation of the ablation from sacrificial heat shields using  (at the time) the world's largest expansion tube wind tunnel.

I became a stay at home Dad in 2011 and have been developing software (Java, Go, Rust, Pony) and toying with electromechanical designs for a few consumer devices.  I'm looking to learn more about the R&D and startup scene in Perth, and enjoy being creative and entrepreneurial.

Completed a bachelor of Environmental Engineering from the University of Western Australia in 2004 and qualified as a civil engineer and currently practicing in this field. Has been involved with the design and management of several urban development and infrastructure projects to date.

Particularly focused on sustainable development and finding a way to implement and construct truly sustainable and smart urban development. This will involve integration of skills from various industries, such as energy, transport, planning, hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical fields. A major challenge will be breaking down the traditional barriers associated with planning, approvals, service provision, urban form and governance such that smart, ecologically friendly, socially vibrant and economically viable places can be achieved. Looking for people that share these thoughts and in order to build teams to make it happen.

Khanh Pham is the General Manager of TSG's WA operations.  He is part of the firm’s executive team.

Since joining TSG in 2005, Khanh has worked extensively with clients internationally and within Australia leading simulation-based value chain studies. He has worked across a diverse range of operations and commodities for resource companies large and small.

He has consulted on large scale capital expansion projects and value chain improvement projects where outcomes are underpinned by the application of operations research modelling and analytics techniques.

Khanh has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons 1A) from the University of Western Australia as well as post graduate qualifications in Applied Finance.

Piero Velletri is a Managing Consultant at The Simulation Group with 20 years experience in the resource and mining industry, the majority of which has involved the practical application of discrete event simulation to complex value chains.

He has worked on projects for a diverse client base ranging from Tier 1 mining companies through to mid-tier producers, both in Australia and overseas. He has built significant expertise in multi-user supply chains and understands the challenges of optimising capacity on shared infrastructure.  In 2012, Piero was involved in the establishment of The Simulation Group’s Santiago office where he delivered numerous projects for one of the world’s largest copper mines.

Piero holds a BEng (hons) and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Australia as well as a MSc in Information Technology from Tohoku University in Japan.
