I work with the researchers across the faculty to develop research opportunities, projects and programs of work. 

Andrew has over 14 years’ experience in the design of structures for use in the Oil and Gas, General Infrastructure and Mining sectors. His recent work has focused on the design of offshore structures, including steel self-installing platforms and concrete gravity structures. Andrew’s industry experience has been interspersed with time spent as a lecturer in the School of Civil and Resource Engineering at UWA, lecturing courses in general design, analysis and the behaviour of offshore structures. His PhD studies focused on predicting the extreme response of moored floating offshore structures and the effect of parametric uncertainty on system reliability. Andrew is currently the Manager of the Industrial Transformation Research Hub for Offshore Floating Facilities, which is a multi-disciplinary research group which has been set up to tackle the critical engineering challenges faced by offshore oil and gas projects by creating improved design and operating procedures.

MBA qualified executive with broad, international commercial experience in energy, oil and gas, mining, consulting and private equity sectors.

In my current role I develop and implement Wood Group's strategy with particular focus on broadening our technical consulting service lines and geographical markets through organic growth, Mergers and Acquisitions or forming strategic alliances.
